Have you ever had one of those weekends that was just so perfect you can hardly believe it actually happened? I was lucky enough to experience one of those recently, with a large group of my vintage-loving friends no less. There was hiking, lounging, eating, drinking, dancing, smoking, carol singing, trap shooting, general merry-making and some fabulous vintage duds, of course.
I am SO excited to announce the My Vintage Love launch party on Saturday, January 25th! If you are in the NYC area, please join me for some Cocktails, Dancing, Hot Jazz and Vintage! The Hot Club of Bushwick will be playing Django Reinhardt-style tunes and the bar will be serving up some great cocktails. Vintage attire is encouraged for everyone of course! Maybe you can find a great dress at the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show this weekend and then wear it to the party next weekend! 🙂
Hello My Vintage Loves! I hope your New Year has gotten off to a great start! It has been such a wonderful holiday season and I have so many new events and fun things to tell you about!
Let’s start out with a great event coming up; one of my favorite events, where I’ve bought some of my best vintage pieces- The Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show! This show features 90 vintage clothing and textile dealers and happens three to four times per year. I’ve been going for the past four years or so and I always manage to leave with some wonderful finds. The prices range from quite reasonable to “you’ve got to be kidding me” but I’ve always been able to find affordable pieces. Almost every period from the 1900’s to the 1980’s is covered, but of course I concentrate on my favorite eras, the 1920’s-1950’s.
